The Effects of COVID-19

Better Together's Partner Care Beyond the Boulevard Responds

March 19, 2020

The threat of the COVID-19 outbreak has caught the world by surprise and created many unexpected obstacles. At this time, gatherings of 10 or more people are not advised by local health officials to slow the spread of the virus. Therefore, after careful consideration, the decision has been made to postpone Better Together’s April 4 Free Health Clinic. Our hope is to return to our monthly 1st Saturdays schedule as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) click HERE for information about reporting and screening for Wyandotte County residents. Contact the Wyandotte County Public Health Department at (913) 573-8855 or through their website. If you reside outside of Wyandotte County contact your local Health Department.

Better Together clinics are possible only because of community volunteers and partners. We join together monthly to provide medical care to KCK uninsured families.

Care Beyond the Boulevard (CBB) is one of our dedicated partners. CBB is taking steps to meet the COVID-19 pandemic head on and is fully committed to serve homeless persons in the metro area.

We are honored to have CBB as a partner. See local news coverage about CBB’s response to COVID-19 on KMBC 9 News and KSHB 41 News. Learn more about Care Beyond the Boulevard at https://carebeyondtheboulevard.org/
